Margaret Cook has won the E. E. Pearse Prize, awarded annually to a Communication and Arts postgraduate student at the University of Queensland for the best article in literary or cultural studies submitted to a scholarly journal.  Her article, entitled ‘”A river with a city problem, not a city with a river problem”: Brisbane and its flood-prone river’ will be published in Environment and History.
